I have come to believe that all of this Russiagate nonsense had two objectives. Tarnishing Trump was one of them and the other was setting the stage for the Ukraine money laundering operation.
Trump was in the way of this unfolding. Another benefit for the Democrats was the Russia controlled narrative helped cover up the Clinton sale of American uranium to Russia.
Many think of Putin as a smart operator but getting in bed with the Clintons was not one of his better thought processes, at least on the surface. Who knows what his motives were in doing so.
